Ignacio “Iggy” Alvarez

Ignacio “Iggy” Alvarez leads Astrion’s Air Force division primarily delivering development, test and evaluation, system engineering and cyber-related services and solutions.  He is experienced in a wide range of the Air Force’s mission critical capabilities to include C4ISR, fixed and rotary wing support, research and development, test and evaluation, and cyber support services.

He joined Astrion in 2022 from Jacobs Technology where he held positions of increasing responsibility from program manager to portfolio manager.  Iggy served for 20 years in the U.S. Air Force and commanded at various levels. He last served as the SECAF/Communications and Information Programs Integration Branch Chief, where he was responsible for the development, congressional briefings and budget submission of the Air Force’s $7B Information Technology portfolio.

He has a Computer Programming and Systems Management degree from the University of Puerto Rico and a Management Information Systems degree from the University of Maryland (European Division/Bowie State), Heidelberg Germany. He also holds PMP and CISSP certifications.
